NNEDSC Buddy Walk Program
Every year we gather together to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. We hold our walk in October, during Down syndrome awareness month.
Your fundraising efforts help us to achieve our goals each year. This past year, we have used Buddy Walk funds to create two different programs that directly impact families in NH. One is the First Call program, which connects newly diagnosed families with trained mentor parents. Each new baby is welcomed with a present and information. First Call also helps provide unbiased, up-to-date information to hospitals throughout the state.
This year we were also able to establish a grant program that helped people with Down syndrome and their families access therapy, summer camp, adaptive equipment and educational conferences.
